Built by a Player, for Players
Green Customs is a one-person guitar workshop run by Chris Schryer out of his home shop. Chris has been playing guitar for over two decades and got into repair and building the way most luthiers do — by refusing to pay shop rates and figuring it out himself.
Today the shop handles everything from basic setups and fret work to full electronic rebuilds, hand-wound pickups under the Side Quest Pickups name, and the early stages of hand-building acoustic guitars from scratch.
Every instrument that comes through gets the same attention whether it's a $200 import or a vintage piece worth real money. The goal is always the same: make it play and sound as good as it possibly can.
