Acoustic Builds

The electric side of the shop has been running for a while now — repair, rebuilds, pickups. The acoustic builds are something new: Chris is beginning to hand-build acoustic guitars from scratch, and the first instruments are underway in the shop.

Acoustic building is slower, more patient work. Each guitar involves selecting the tonewoods, cutting and shaping the braces, bending the sides, and fitting everything by hand. It's a different discipline than repair work, and it's one Chris has been studying seriously.
